The Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg (»Chamber Opera at Rheinsberg Palace«) is pleased to invite you to participate in the 33rd International Singing Competition: Apply to participate in opera performances, gala programs as well as masterclasses and concerts during the International Festival of Young Opera Singers Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in the summer of 2024. During the festival in Rheinsberg, the prize-winners will rehearse a musical work under professional conditions and perform it publicly. Extensive media coverage is provided. The festival will provide young singers with knowledge and valuable experience for their future professional lives. Many singers began their careers in Rheinsberg, including Annette Dasch, Susanne Elmark, Allison Oakes, Olga Peretyatko, Nadine Weissmann, Aris Argiris, Marco Jentzsch, Friedemann Röhlig.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is open to young opera singers born after 1992/1/1. When applying, please indicate what you are applying for (multiple applications are possible). Applicants must be available and without other obligations within the specified period for rehearsals and performances of their desired roles.
PRE-SELECTION
Applicants will be invited to participate in the audition on the basis of their submitted audiovisual media. To apply for the Masterclass Lied one of the pieces shall be a Kunstlied. The submitted media shall be in quality. Distorted, noisy or otherwise inferior recordings will not be considered.
AUDITIONS
The audition will take place between February 26–28 2024 in the premises of the Musikkultur Rheinsberg in the Kavalierhaus of the castle complex 16831 Rheinsberg. You will be informed of the exact, individual audition date when you are invited for the audition.

JURY
The jury will consist of the artistic directors of the productions of the festival summer 2023, as well as singing teachers.
CONDITIONS
Prize money up to 1.600 €
Board & lodging all-inclusive in the guest house of the Rheinsberg Music Academy and reimbursement of one arrival and departure to/from Rheinsberg.
APPLICATION
The participants apply online on www.muvac.com with two selected arias of their choice on audiovisual media. The data can be uploaded online together with the other required application documents such as CV (max. 1.500 characters), photo (300 dpi incl. photo credit), repertoire list, etc.
The fee for participation in the competition is 50,00 €. Admission to the competition takes place after receipt of payment. Travel expenses for participation in the audition will not be reimbursed.
The sheet music and dialogues for the audition will be made available for download after registration.
